  • the wider community

Four sub-themes will guide the content of the conference:

  • connect2life!

The conference messages are:

  • When we communicate we make a connection.
  • Everyone communicates.
  • People connect and communicate in different ways. All ways are valued and respected.
  • Communication is a human right. Communities need to support communication in all it’s different forms.

When we communicate, we connect and there is power in connections. When we Connect2Communicate we Connect2Life!

We may communicate using facial expression, gestures, signs, tone of voice, body language, pointing to pictures, communication books, communication devices, phones, speech… We connect and communicate in different ways. All ways are valued and respected.

We learn to communicate though connections early in life. Communication difficulties can have big effects.
