What is AGOSCI?

The Australian Group Supporting Communication Inclusion.

Established in 1981, AGOSCI aims to serve people who may not rely on speech alone to understand or be understood by others.

AGOSCI’s membership and broader community also includes: family and community members; teachers and educators; speech pathologists and other health professionals; students and academics; assistive technology suppliers; support workers and disability service organisations.

Our Vision is that all communicators can participate fully in all aspects of life because their individual differences in communication assistance needs, modes and styles, are acknowledged and supported throughout communities and in all spaces.

AGOSCI exists to provide a community and a platform for people who may not rely on speech alone to understand or be understood by others, their families and supporters, and the professionals who work with them, and to facilitate opportunities and activities that work in service of our vision.
