AGOSCI

What Is AGOSCI? Speaker talking.

What Is AGOSCI?

Since 1981, AGOSCI has been a powerful voice and a thriving community for people who do not rely on speech alone to communicate. We champion inclusion, access, and participation, ensuring that diverse communication needs, styles, and supports are recognised and valued in all aspects of life.

Our vision is a world where everyone - regardless of how they communicate - can connect, contribute, and thrive. We believe that communication is a human right, and we work to break down barriers, foster understanding, and create spaces where all voices are heard.

Who is AGOSCI for?

AGOSCI is a community-driven organisation bringing together:

  • People who use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Families and caregivers supporting individuals with complex communication needs
  • Educators and teachers passionate about inclusive learning
  • Speech pathologists and health professionals advancing communication support
  • Researchers and students exploring AAC and inclusion
  • Assistive technology providers innovating tools for communication access
  • Support workers, disability advocates, and service organisations

We offer training, advocacy, events, and an incredible network of people dedicated to making the world more accessible for communicators of all kinds. Whether you're here to learn, connect, or take action, you're in the right place.

Join the conversation. Be part of AGOSCI today.
