AGOSCI early career peer support group

Peer connection for professionals who are new to disability, AAC, and diverse communication

Meeting overview
AGOSCI is a member-based organisation, here to support a more inclusive community for people with diverse communication. AGOSCI is aware that professionals who are new to working in this space can feel overwhelmed and isolated.
The new AGOSCI peer support group is designed to bring like-minded professionals together for peer support and connection. Our aim is to reduce isolation and encourage a network of support for people working in AAC and disability.
To encourage a safe space, these meetings will not be recorded. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance to attend the live event.
AGOSCI will host and facilitate meeting discussions, with opportunity for group members to explore topics of interest together and build a network of peer support.
Audience
AGOSCI encourages any current members who are early career professionals, are new to the disability field, or new to AAC to join these meetings.
This is a member-only event.
Meeting topic
This meeting will focus on the theme of AAC Awareness Month. We will be joined by Nell McMillan to discuss the perspectives of people with lived experience of communication disability.
You can ask Nell questions, in a safe and judgement free space.
