Choosing the right dynamic display can feel daunting and confusing if you start looking through the many vocabularies and grid sets available hoping to find something suitable. It may be new to you, and you don’t know how to work out the differences between them or why choose one over another.

Every day at Zyteq we are focussed on connecting people with the right technology solutions, and a key part of choosing the right technology is working out what content will be best for the AAC user. Not only does the hardware and software need to be compatible so that all the device features work as expected, but the dynamic displays selected also need to have the features to support the AAC user.

Zyteq’s AAC Dynamic Display Selection Framework provides a structure to methodically consider the key elements starting with what the AAC user needs. So whether it’s symbols or text-to-speech, access methods and additional functions to AAC we want to ensure the selected displays provides the right solution for the individual.

This webinar will be helpful if you are a speech pathologist, family member, or educator exploring dynamic display language systems for a person with complex communication needs.

Webinar #2 builds on learning from Webinar #1. We recommend watching both! Webinars are 60 minutes each, 2 hours of content in total.

About the Presenter

Karyn Muscat - Clinical Team Leader, Speech Pathologist

Karyn is a compassionate and approachable Speech Pathologist who appreciates that the journey into the world of Augmentative and Alternative Communication can feel overwhelming. As our Clinical Team Leader, she supports our clinicians to make the journey for our clients as smooth as possible. With a strong ability to see things from our client’s point of view, Karyn loves working closely with them to discover their ideal and unique assistive technology solution. One of her favourite sayings is “Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.” Armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience she is keen to share with health professionals, families and clients, Karyn’s favourite thing about her role is interacting with people. She wants everyone to feel they can ask for help without judgement.
