Why visuals matter: effective approaches to executive function and communication
Presented by Jennifer Winstone and Jessica Shahbazi
Webinar overview
Research tells us that visuals do more than aid understanding - they support the way people think, plan and interact. When they’re personalised and meaningful, their impact extends far beyond the page or screen.
This session explores why visuals matter, why they sometimes fail and how to personalise them for meaningful impact. Drawing on evidence, lived experience and everyday practice, we’ll share practical strategies clinicians and educators can use straight away to strengthen executive functioning and communication outcomes.
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how visuals can move beyond compliance or convenience to become everyday enablers of connection, regulation and independence.
