Workshop overview 

Ready to take your LAMP implementation skills to the next level?

This advanced, hands-on course is designed to enhance your ability to implement LAMP across different language stages and environments. Led by an experienced LAMP trainer from the Centre for AAC & Autism, this comprehensive session will explore the language structure of the LAMP Words for Life® system and demonstrate how to leverage iOS device features to support language learning. 

Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience through video analysis group discussions, and practical strategies. 

 

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session, you'll be able to:

  • Implement appropriate levels of scaffolding to develop independent communication

  • Modify AAC systems and utilise iOS device features to enhance language learning

  • Assess current expressive language levels and plan strategic next steps

  • Create consistent vocabulary access across settings to promote generalisation

 

Target audience

This training is ideal for speech pathologists, families and teachers supporting individuals who use the LAMP Words for Life® system.

 

Workshop details 

  • This is a LIVE workshop, held online via Zoom. This workshop will NOT be recorded. 
  • This workshop will run for 2.5 hours
  • Previous attendance at a LAMP online or 2-day workshop is recommended, but not compulsory
  • Access to the LAMP Words for Life® app on an iPad is required for hands on practice during the session

image013.pngLeanna Fox brings over 20 years work experience supporting communication access for people with communication difficulty. She has worked abroad, regionally and also within metropolitan areas. Currently Leanna works for the Centre for AAC & Autism supporting the LAMP therapy approach through training, mentoring and consultations.

Registration is only confirmed upon full payment of fee. Please note total ticket price will include an additional $0.69 + 0.7% per transaction service fee. To access the discounted rate for members you must be logged into your AGOSCI member account prior to registration. 

  • 100% refund minus the service fee ($0.69 + 0.7% per transaction) until 60 days before event
  • 50% refund minus the service fee ($0.69 + 0.7% per transaction) between 8-59 days before event
  • No refunds within 0-7 days before event start date
  • If the event is cancelled by AGOSCI you will receive 100% refund including the service fee ($0.69 + 0.7% per transaction)

Applications for registrations are subject to final approval by AGOSCI to ensure fair and equal access to events across organisations. Waitlist registrations will be taken upon all positions being filled.
