The development of behavioural descriptors for Australian speech pathologists working in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

Presented by Clancy Conlon

Webinar overview

This webinar will showcase an AGOSCI funded research project focused on the development of behavioural descriptors for Australian speech pathologists working in AAC.

The session will outline the rationale for the project, including the need for shared, practice-relevant understandings of AAC competence across clinical contexts. Participants will be guided through the methodology used to develop the behavioural descriptors and will hear key findings from the project, including feedback from speech pathologists on what constitutes competent AAC practice in Australia.

This research was supported by the AGOSCI 2024 Annual Research Grant.
